Who is (was) "R. Mutt?"
I am studying marcel duchamp at school, but it is not clear whren u talk about the
urinal whether he presented it as some on else or it was this certain
richard mutt!
Well, uhhh, let me think......NO (to all). But next time please at least enter your email address on the form you submitted
(http://www.freshwidow.com/message.html) because if you don't I cant't reply to you 'cuz I don't know how to contact you.
Due to technical reasons I won't get into here, I do not automatically get your email address when you use the email form
at http://www.freshwidow.com/message.html. So if you want me to reply you must provide a return email address.

Sound Advice
First of all -- thank you thank you. I use the Armory Show 1913
in my Intro to Poetry and Drama class here at Stephen F. Austin State
Univ. The info on Duchamp is wonderful. I use the exhibition and Pound's
work on Chinese Poetry (via Ernest Fenellosa) as THE major influences on US
poetry as we know it.
Thank you for your comments, they are very much appreciated. As far as
your problem with the audio files, please try the .au versions if you are using
an ibm type pc. The .wav files are for mac users. I have provided 3 different
formats, .au, .aiff and .wav, for most of the audio files in the site.
There are also a few RealAudio files, but those are in the Fresh Widow
Music section. For those you must have the
RealPlayer.
(This link is for the free version, you may also order the deluxe
version for around $30.00.)
Quality Noise
So incredible to see quality Duchamp on the web. I'll check out
anything related to the man and the artist, but this was especially
special. Oh! to actually
hear the hidden noise (.au)...
I am not a geek!
I was curious about your web page design. Do you
do the installation of the pages or do you do the
design and then hand it over to a computer geek.
The computer geek in me wants to know. Thanks.
I do everything on
the site, with the exception of CGI.
What is Cool?
Duchamp encounter is cool. If you know of any good Dada links
please email them to me.
Thanks alot.
Please see the "Readymade Duchamp Links" page in the
"Encounter with Duchamp" section of FW3K.
Hard Day at the Office
glad to find marcel on the web.
gotta go -- boss is coming.
Keep up the good work...you deserve a raise!
Bong Hit!
I've always been a fan of Duchamp
it's nice to know this site great site!
(coughing)
If I could I would...
It would be a great thing to have all of Duchamp's work online for people
to see and study. Are you planning on doing something like this? It
would be a great service.
My site has evolved out of my personal interest in Duchamp. I found his
approach to "art" extremely influential on my attempts at decorating my
own living space. I have built my Duchamp site using original images so
as to avoid the problem of using copyrighted material. The Duchamp
estate is known for cracking down on what they perceive as a violation
of the copyright on Duchamp's work. Whenever possible I have linked to
other web sites that do have his work on line, and quite a few may be
found by following these links in my "Sources and References/Readymade Duchamp
Links" section. I will be adding new sections to the site, (as well as looking for other
sites that come on line), as time goes on and space permits.
The Mar-Selling of Duchamp
I'm looking for posters, pictures, etc., of Marcel Duchamp.
Can you help me?
My suggestion would be to contact the
Philadelphia Museum of Art.
Much of Duchamp's work is on permanent display there, and they have
the best museum gift shop around if you are shopping for Duchamp posters,
postcards, books, shower curtains and other important trinkets.
